Fundraising
'Tis the season!! O.V. Music and Drill Boosters are offering you top quality holiday greenery from the Pacific Northwest through Mt. Rainer Greenery!
This is a great way to support the music program by helping to lower costs for trips and other music events throughout the year.
The Boosters receive a percentage of the money raised, and it all stays at the school to directly support the band, orchestra, choir, and drill team.
Some of the areas the funds are used for include:
- Transportation for trips
- Mileage and fuel cost to transport the equipment trailer
- Help with Scholarships
The sale begins November 2011. Please collect cash or checks payable to "O.V. Music Boosters" with your orders. All orders and money are due on Nov. 18th.
All order forms must be filled out completely. Please add the teachers name and which band, orchestra, choir class period your student is in to the top of the order form.
If you are a drill team member, please mark that at the top of the page.
Greenery will be available for pick up on Dec 5th, 2011 from 1:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are unable to pick up your order on that day please make arrangements to have a friend pick them up for you.
Don't forget to ask your extended family, family friends, or to ask if you can have your parents take it to work with them.
These are all great ways of increasing your sales!!

A letter from the Boosters President:
Greetings to all the parents of children in the OV Music program. Happy "back to school" and welcome back to the joy of playing music together!
The Booster Club supports all of the music at Olympic View Middle School: Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Drill team.
We exist so that all children who want to participate in music performance, concerts, competitions and parades can do so.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Kids want to have fun and perform well, They can't do it without (some) adult supervision.
Please consider volunteering, there are many things you can do:
- Chaperone
- Food and Water (for trips)
- Equipment (load instruments)
- Uniforms
- Webmaster (manage OV Music Booster website)

If you would like to volunteer, please complete (or renew if you have volunteered before ) the Washington State Patrol criminal background check/clearance forms.

Booster News
As stated above, we have a need for several positions and chaperones. The Secretary and Vice President positions are currently empty and need to be filled.
We are also currently seeking shadow board positions for the 2012-2013 Booster Board.
These positions need to be filled for training this year to make for a
smooth transition.
